Grateful

Hello everyone, I'm back at the J O B! I'm blessed and I'm going to have a great outlook for the coming year (well, I'm going to give it my best shot) Praise GOD, five more years and I will be a civilian like most of you! The job won't dictate my personal life "yippee!" I will finally get 8 hours of sleep and walk the malls and eat out and go to amusement parks and just be normal.... wait a minute, what's normal? (smile)

I was so looking forward to my winter vacation and somehow hurt my sciatic nerve. WOW, I spent 10 days on my sofa with 3 different medications. That was not fun and one thing I learned from that experience is that it's no fun being single and sick. The next time, God forbid there is one, I'm going to hire me a male nurse (lol)

As always, please pray for me and my brothers and sisters in blue across the country and especially during the coming weeks as we prepare for the big day, the swearing in of our New President in the Nation's Capitol!

Love and Peace

Hey Lady!
Welcome back to blog world and back to work. At least you guys have the Innaguration coming up. I know you have to work but if you're lucky you may get stationed someplace with a good view and get paid for it at the same time. (**smiles**)

I'm glad that you are feeling better and I will keep you and the rest of our law enforcement officers, troops and those in authority in prayer at all times.

Blessings!

Hey Free Spirit, nice post. Keep that positive attitude gurl. I am always praying for you and your fellow officers who sincerely serve and protect us. Wow, I wish I only had 5 more years to retire, heck I would retire in 5 more weeks if I could. But I really shouldn't complain because I am still WORKING and I am able to WORK. As for being normal, ummmm, I don't know what that is either, lol! But I do sympathized with you with that sciatic nerve pain girlfriend. And unless someone experiences it they just don't know how disabilitating that is. Thank God you only had 3 medications to take and are back to work. I was down with that for 4 months with sciatica nerve damage on my right side but that's about a 4 day post to explain everything that happened. Let's just say I can walk again, not perfectly but I can walk, go to work and be a little normal (smile). Some forms of sciatica never goes completely away though. Prayerfully that is not the case with you. I was also alone when that happened to me. But thank God I had some friends and family that came around once in a while to help a sista out but it was still rough. You are a trooper just like I am so I'm not too worried about you. Especially because you are blessed by the BEST!

Hey sis.
Sorry about your nerve, but I'm glad your back on your feet and able to go back to work. I've had co-workers suffer with that for long periods of time so your must be in excellent shape to heal so quickly.
I'll be praying and if by some miracle I end up in DC I'll be looking for you.
