Today's lost youth...

A rebellious son - Deuteronomy 22:18-21

18)If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19) his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20) They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is profligate and a drunkard." 21) Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.

I know this seems a bit extreme today, but isn't there something we can do to get the youth on the right path of obedience?

Yes we must give parents the right to discipline their children The right has been taken away and parents are told their kids do not belong to them.
I always think its better for a parent to discipline the children they love, than the law, courts and social system. They should drag them into church. Used to be all kids had to go today not many know God or his relevance and importance to society.
They are just told he doesn;t exist and they have human rights and freedom to do as they wished.
Power in empty heads that is not earned.:(

Good afternoon Ms. Lady's life. I love that you keep supporting me, even when I'm too busy to stop by your little treasure trove.

I posted this because I was doing a Bible Study on obedience and was lead to this particular post.

I don't know how much law enforcement can do without the help of the parents and the Church!

Love ya!

Most of what I see is that people do things because they don't understand the consequences of their actions.
If there is no one to teach them then what do we expect. I am not a religious fanatic but I do understand how important religion is and the stories it tells to teach young minds the difference between right and wrong.I also see how important it is for parents to set the right examples for children to follow because being a grown up means you have more responsibilities on your shoulders and as people sacrificed for us and our parents, we must sacrifice for future generations.
But unfortunately society doesn't see the values in this thinking and as a result they pump kids with info they are not ready for and then we are surprised they do crimes. But then supplied with adult info we cannot charge them with adult crimes because their brains are not developed. So our laws and thinking is extremely corroded.
There are no short cuts in life.
It follows one path and and detours are just that, because there can only be one truth.
Thanks China and God Bless you at work and at home.

A good beat down by the men in the community surely wouldn't hurt. They don't have to kill them, but just beat them till they are woozie. LOL!

My children are generally well behaved. The people of our community will not have to stone them, but they will see the results of the discipline they received at home through teaching, preaching, and delivering their soul from hell.

Proverbs 23:13-14 Don't be afraid to correct your young ones; a spanking won't kill them. A good spanking, in fact, might save them from something worse than death. (The Message)
