It's almost here

After tomorrow, we will be working 12 hour shifts until the 22 of January. The department is really going all out. We have cots coming in so that members can spend the night and we have lunch wagons, hand warmers, heated socks, fur hats, bomb dogs, snipers, military armored cars, freshly pressed uniforms, outside agencies, out of town guest, sold out hotels, late night bars, standing room only, closed off bridges, celebrity parties, and tons of excitement in the air. But with all this preparation, have we prayed?

Found your blog by clicking next blog and though I would say hi. Thanks for doing a tough job. I'm glad the Lord is with us everyday, his presence guiding us and caring for us. May he bless you richly in your job.

Great point! I have been praying for the election that no hurt, harm or danger will come upon not only the President Elect, present president, spectators, politicians but also the brave men and women that will be securing this event. this is a time to celebrate and give thanks but also a time for us to pray if there had ever been one before.

Blessings!

Great question. I've been praying for you and others involved in keeping the festivities safe. I know there's a prayer service the day after the inauguration. Maybe it's me, but maybe that service should be first.

I suspect you may have to take a break from posting, but I'll be stopping by and praying for you through it all.

See ya in the blogosphere.

Be safe dear one. I will be praying for you as I do for the nation. We are in very difficult times with a lot of stressed out people and understandably so.

Thank you for all you do in keeping us safe. You are appreciated.

Thank you everyone for stopping by. Thank you especially for the prayers. I don't know if I'm lucky, but since I'm one of the senior members on the department, I will not be apart of the detail or parade. I will be on the midnight shift and out of sight. I will be in the office under the heater until a call for service comes out.

My boss is gone so I will be brainstorming for new ways to solve age old problems. Any advice??????

Love, peace and blessings!
